What a wonderful day the Golden Grove Probians shared while learning about the behind scenes action relating to the TV serial McLeod Daughters. The weather was perfect, but it did show the dryness of the country.

Jake, our tour leader, was a fountain of information on all aspects of this popular family production. We learned that behind the scenes, there were many long hours put in by the cast, the film crew, catering staff, wardrobe etc which resulted in absorbing episodes for us to enjoy.

We visited most of the film locations and heard first hand from some local property owners how they became involved in this successful series, which is now seen in more than 120 countries outside Australia.

Jake introduced us to 'Charlie'. What a funny life he led. We were kept laughing at some of his experiences.

'McLeod Daughters" has done much to publicize South Australia and the continual promoting of this series overseas, can only further enhance Australia's filming reputation.

Bagged Promotions, who organized this trip, are to be congratulated on a tour which was well presented by their friendly staff.

On hearing about the Day Tripper Tour to McLeod's Country, myself and three other friends decided to fly from Sydney to Adelaide especially to join a tour.

The Company and expert tour guide (Jake) need to be congratulated.

It was a full day. The tour took us to many places associated with the show and we could not believe the country, locations and distance involved in making McLeod's Daughters. To watch it now on TV is so much more realistic. I can say I have been there and done that. You could not ask for a better organized and planned tour.

If you are a McLeod's Daughters fan, then this trip is a must.

On Sunday the 17th April 2005 I went on the Day Tripper Tour with our local bus company Greenock Creek Charter.

It was a wonderful tour. We were entertained by a great guide who was very knowledgeable about the series and the area.

We had so much fun that I was sorry when it was over.

I am going to go again and I advise everyone who follows the series and loves the countryside to do this tour.
